Hospitals
- Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) is the major accident and emergency receiving centre for Aberdeen City and Shire. It has its own helicopter landing pad to bring those in urgent need of medical attention from remote parts of the area, from offshore or from the Grampian mountains.
- Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital provides state-of-the-art facilities and care for children and families and supports the network of community child health services.

The Foresterhill medical campus is one of Europe’s largest and is acknowledged internationally as a centre of medical excellence. The campus also hosts Aberdeen University Medical School.
