Aberdeen City Council
Aberdeen City Council plays an important role as a major provider of the business infrastructure essential to help the private sector achieve the required levels of economic growth. The Council also provides advice on a diverse range of issues from:

The Aberdeen Business Enterprise Scheme, operated by the Council, provides financial assistance to companies located within the city. The scheme offers assistance to companies whose growth has the potential to positively affect the economy of Aberdeen and the North East.
Aberdeenshire Council
Aberdeenshire Council offers assistance through the support for Aberdeenshire Business (SAB) scheme, which assists in the development of new businesses and encourages the expansion of existing ones. SAB offers business advice and discretionary financial assistance, in the form of loans and grants, to both new and existing businesses. The scheme places importance on businesses selling outwith the area and on attracting investment to Aberdeenshire.
The grant scheme offers assistance with training, marketing, rent, job creation, implementation of quality systems and attendance at trade fairs. There are also grants to help businesses implement more sustainable working practices. Assistance can also be made through Enterprise North East Trust and Scottish Enterprise Grampian.
