CPMR 2010 - Useful Information
Travel Transfers
Please note that NO TRANSFERS will be organised between Aberdeen Airport and the hotels.
Delegates are invited to travel to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) by their own means on Wednesday 29 October.
Travel Transfers will be arranged on both Thursday 30 September and Friday 1 October to and from the AECC at the official CPMR hotels (hotels booked via this site) in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
All information regarding transfer pick up times will be provided and posted in the selected hotels.
Travel to and from Aberdeen
With an international airport and ferryport to choose from, getting flights and ferries to Aberdeen City and Shire couldn't be easier. If there are no direct air links to the City the area enjoys excellent links will all major European travel hubs.
If you are travelling from elsewhere in the UK, you'll find that Aberdeen City and Shire also enjoys excellent road and rail connections with the rest of the country.
Air Travel
Aberdeen Airport is situated 6 miles North-West of the City Centre and offers easy access to the surrounding area. There are flights to Aberdeen City and Shire from over 40 destinations, these are from throughout the UK including daily flights to and from London as well as many international destinations.
Aberdeen Airport has its own taxi rank situated outside the main terminal building and there is also a regular bus service connecting the airport to the City Centre. Car hire is also available from one of the many companies located inside the terminal building.
Bus Travel
Aberdeen City and Shire is served in the main by First and Stagecoach. The main bus station is located on Guild Street adjacent to Aberdeen railway station.

Rail Travel
Aberdeen railway station is located next to the bus station on Guild Street. The station is well serviced with routes from all over the UK. Connections are usually made in Glasgow or Edinburgh for travel from London, alternatively the overnight sleeper train travels to Aberdeen from London.
Road Travel
Aberdeen is accessible by road from Glasgow or Edinburgh in around 2-3 hours. Follow the A9 North to Perth and then take the A90 trunk road to Aberdeen.
Sea Travel
Aberdeen Harbour is one of Europe's most modern ports and is located close the Aberdeen City Centre. Scheduled ferries run to Orkney, Shetland, Norway, the Continent and elsewhere. Northlink Ferries sail daily to and from Orkney and Shetland.
